What is the project about?
The overall objective of the Project is to strengthen institutional and human capacities of the relevant Integrated Border Management institutions to meet accession criteria and to implement Chapter 24. The purpose of this contract is to strengthen institutional capacities of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management with its Plant Protection Directorate and Department for Border Phyto-sanitary Inspection, the Veterinary Directorate and the Department of Border Veterinary Inspection as well as the Customs Administration within the Ministry of Finance for the implementation of measures foreseen in the IBM Strategy and Action Plan.
Project goals
This Project has been designed to deepen and extend the support being provided to the Government of Serbia through the IBM Sector Budget Support Program, which forms part of the IBM Sector Reform Contract (SRC). It is part of the complementary support to the Sector Budget Support Programme and will be implemented in parallel and close coordination with other projects that aim at strengthening the capacity of the institutions involved in IBM.
